Since Ford Mustangs were introduced in 1964, it has been the only muscle car that has not stopped production. To Explain the differences of the four main mustangs that have always been popular. Classifying these vehicles by motor and by body types would be the best to understand. Mustangs are one of the most popular cruising sports cars because they are fast and look sweet to most people. http://autos.msn.com
The late 95’s to 96 Mustang GT’s 2000 SVT (Mustang cobra), 2003 Mach 1 and 2005 Ford Mustangs, and the start of a new generation are faster and safer.
In the mid 90’s the Mustang GT’s were pretty popular. The 95 addiction came equipped with a 5.0 L V8 motor pushing 305 horespower. It was the last year the 5.0L V8 was put in the car. The 96 Ford Mustang came out with a 4.6 L V8 motor, usually has around 215 horespower. That year did not very much changed. The Mustang GT came automatic or manual, 5 speed transmission. Now days that would be a real cheap car because it’s about 12 years old Mustangs.about.
In 200, Cobra SVT came out with a bigger motor. The sut Cobras are like about GT’s because they have always been known as a fast car and more expensive. The Mustang Cobra came stock with a stock super charged 5.4 L V8 DOHC (dual over head cam) another feature that this year of Mustang came with, was a 6 speed manual transmission. This SVT Cobra pushed around 390 horse power. Mustangs.about
In 2003, the Mach-1 re-appeared, the Mach-1 Mustang is a real rare vehicle to find. 2003, some of the colors the care came out with was the blue, yellow, red, competition orange, and black. This Mustang came with a 4.6L V8 Cobra motor and transmission with 310 to 315 horespower. Some of the feature this Mustang came with were a “Shaker”, that’s pretty close to being a cool air intake or a blower. In 2004 was the last year of Dearborn assembly line. During that last year they had made around 6.7 million to 8.3 million total cars. In the fifth generation, the new assembly line ozc platform. They brought out in 2005 a classic Mustang, that was bigger, safer and faster. The old look to people were better then the new Mustangs. The motors in the new generation got bigger. The GT models went from a 4.6 L back to a 5.0L V8 that is pushing around 300 horespower stock. Each year a new Mustang came out like the Shelby GT, Shelby GT 500. www.Mustangs.about.com.
Now since the different types of Mustangs were classified, you now understand why the Mustang hasn’t stopped production for over five generations. Those Mustangs are the Mustang GT, Mustang Cobra SVT, Mustang Mach-1 and the new generation that still is producing cars since 1964. My personal view towards these cars are if you were to get a Mustang, don’t get a V6 version. I’d rather spend $15,000 on a GT or Cobra then a V6 with less power that costs just as much. Classifying the four main Mustangs that have been around for generations, shows out of the four main sports cars, the 200 Cobra SVT is the fastest and priciest.

  1. Jeff: I am so impressed how your writing is reaaly improving. I think that the more you write the better you are getting at it. We need to focus on citations and varying word choice/sentence structure. The rubric grade is :
Presents and organizational pattern, though lapses may occur
Identifies purpose; targets an audience through most word choices and details
Provides adequate support for main idea, but development may be uneven
Some sentence variety and good word choices; shows some mechanical errors
    Format is perfect
    Total Points: 85/100
